Great opportunity for a solid professional with Controller experience or broad CPA experience. Codonics and related companies designs, manufactures and distributes medical imaging equipment and supplies. We are seeking an individual who is highly skilled to join our management team and provide an immediate contribution. PURPOSE - To continue development of, coordinate, and administer the financial, budgetary, forecasting, tax and government reporting functions of the company.
II. POSITION DEMANDS - BS in Accounting; preferably a CPA; minimum 8-10 years relevant experience; in-depth knowledge of accounting principals and methods with the ability to apply such knowledge to the accounting function; strong working knowledge of computerized accounting, manufacturing, federal and state taxation, spreadsheet and word processing packages; ability to effectively work in team relationship with other accounting personnel.
III. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS- Reports directly to the CFO of the companies. Position must be capable of dealing with all levels of personnel in the organization, as well as third parties and international personnel.
IV. ACCOUNTABILITIES - (including but not limited to) - Manage designated accounting department personnel. Proper and timely reporting to CFO and others in the organization. Manage inventory and cost accounting, income tax compliance, month-end and year-end accounting functions. Coordinate cash management activities. Manage acceptance of letters of credit and issuance of credit. Perform credit review of international distributors. Consult with all segments on policy or action that impacts accounting. Manage company annual budget including periodic forecasting and analysis. Assist in ongoing development of systems, policies and controls.
