Associate Product Manager - Liquid Sterilization Systems

Summary:

• Support the assigned product line by working with the Product Manager, and established project teams to achieve product line business objectives.
• Work on assigned projects in the product/market area while supporting the product line on a daily basis.
• Work closely with members of all disciplines within the company on assigned projects.
• Work on cross-functional product teams in support of expediting new product development and business process improvement efforts.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist product management with the development and implementation of the annual marketing plan by gathering and analyzing sales,competitive, and other market data.

2. Regularly review pricing practices to assure progress toward our value-pricing strategies and consistency with the marketing strategy.

3. Work with sales and product management to develop promotional plans that will drive new product sales and market growth with the core offering.

4. Assist in the development and execution of product training designed to maximize product knowledge, sales skills and competitive product positioning.

5. Develop sales tools and collateral materials in order to communicate the value proposition of the STERIS offering to our focus markets.

6. Support the day-to-day business needs through responses to requests for information from both internal and external customers.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Standard office equipment, extensive use of the computer and telephone. Up to 20% travel. Light lifting associated with internal shipments, tradeshows and customer site visits.

Education/License Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related science. MBA in Marketing and/or Management desirable.

Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of two years sales or marketing experience, or two years experience in sterilization industry.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Excellent formal presentation skills before small groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
