Job Description
CSA Standards has an
opportunity for a Business Development Manager out of our Cleveland , Ohio Officefocusing on the development of
the business solutions offerings including standards development,
personnel certification programs and advisory services. As Business
Development Manager, you will work collaboratively with team members
and the CSA standards development group to conceive of and present
new solutions, and follow through in delivering the highest quality
programs.
Primary
Objectives:
- Identify new growth
opportunities in North America through
communications with standards leadership, project managers, product
managers, business development managers, industry representatives
and/or provincial/state and governmental authorities.
- Develop stakeholder
support and funding for a minimum of three programs per year. Prepare and acquire approval
of business plans for individual program development, and provide
reporting on financial results to Manager, Business
Solutions.
- Promote CSA America
business solutions, standards and product offerings to industry
groups, trade associations and target
demographics
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop new growth opportunity in
North America to expand CSA Standards
business solutions offerings and meet required revenue
goals.
- Identify personnel certification,
training, standards development and advisory services opportunities
through internal collaboration and external sources to meet required
goals.
- Manage client and
stakeholder relationships to support revenue goals, program
development and marketing.
- Develop supporting business plans
to launch and manage assigned programs.
- Assist in the development of
marketing strategies for assigned program by working with corporate
marketing on delivery of marketing strategies and program
promotions.
- Determine appropriate value
proposition for assigned products in order to promote CSA America's
solutions to clients.
- Develop, implement and report
metrics to evaluate program effectiveness against business
plan.
- Assist project managers, product
managers and external stakeholders in initial scope development for
new products based on industry requirements.
- Represent CSA at key external
events, including trade shows, conferences, and customer
meetings.
Job Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, and 7+
years equivalent experience.
- Previous accountability for achieving revenue and sales
targets is preferred.
- Must be team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and
display a positive attitude.
- Excellent computer skills (work processing, spreadsheets,
presentation software, project planning software)
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail. Creative, participative and
flexible approach to managing work assignments.
- Experience with developing and implementing sales, marketing
and business plans.
- Highly developed written and oral communications skills;
including public speaking.
- Capable of developing and maintaining productive,
service-oriented work relationships with coworkers, managers,
clients.
- Systematic problem-solving ability. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize,
follow-through and evaluate assigned functions and
duties.
- Must be able and willing to travel as required in support of
specific product or market needs.
