POSITION SUMMARY:
GCP is looking to hire a Web Application Developer to create dynamic, interactive, and personalized Web applications for the GCP family of websites and internal database system. Job duties will include defining, coding, testing, and debugging to support GCP's online Internet and Intranet web application systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop high-end web-based applications and web services based on the needs of GCP.
- Participate in the planning and estimating of specific projects.
- Perform code-reviews and enforce code and development standards.
- Responsible for working with stakeholders and staff to construct, prioritize, and implement web initiatives in the most cost-effective, complementary and innovative manner.
- Support concept development and planning for applications of value for various stakeholders and constituencies within GCP.
- Assist with website content updates.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or business management preferred.
- 2-5 years of database management and web application development experience required.
- Experience with SQL, HTML, and scripting languages.
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Exchange.
- Aptitude and understanding of business technology issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and serve all internal customers in a professional manner.
- Proven track record of success in a professional fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated project planning and implementation experience.
