Job Description
General Summary
Responsible for the planning, forecasting, justification, implementation, and maintenance of all CPI system and network hardware. Maintains online service level agreements to ensure productivity of all institute personnel related to their interactions with computer-based systems. Sets up and supports hardware, operating systems and application software for the institute's information systems. Supports the local and wide area network infrastructure. Interfaces with external vendors to evaluate product offerings and determine applicability to the institute's direction. Troubleshoots technical problems.
Education,Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft and AIX operating systems, SAN/NAS data storage, VMWare, Citrix Administration, Backup and Disaster Recovery, High Availability methodologies, and Security. Must have a strong technical understanding of enterprise networking, distributed computing (Local Area Network administration and Personal Computing systems), and Intranet/Internet technology. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. Outstanding multi-tasking and priority setting, customer service and interpersonal relationship skills required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be a team player.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field and three (3) years directly related experience, or Associate's Degree and five (5) years experience, or seven (7) years experience
