Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for the development, integration, and support of the CCF messaging system, focusing specifically on messaging servers and applications. Responsible for providing third-level support for issues, and verifying on a daily basis that the messaging system is operating properly. Will serve as lead for the development and integration of new products into the production environment. The messaging system is a 24x7 system, therefore technical support will be provided when required. Will also serve as technical lead for small development, evaluation, and/or integration projects involving email/internet technologies. Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Knowledge Skills and abilities

• Proficiency with the installation and administration of theMicrosoft Exchange applications.
• Excellent working knowledge of messaging and network standards such as MAPI, HTTP and SMTP.
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts. Understands principles of client/server configuration.
• Capable of writing user and/or system documentation or technical papers, making presentations to client audiences or professional peers, training users, and working closely with development staff and management.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational, customer service and interpersonal relationship skills required.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and is a team player.
• Possess a professional and cooperative attitude.
  

Required Length and Type of Experience

• The following experience requirements are inclusive (not additive) in time duration.
  
• Minimum of four years experience administering a midsize (500-700 node) messaging environment (Microsoft Exchange), to include a minimum of three years experience in designing and four years experience implementing distributed computing solutions.
  
• Minimum of six years experience in server implementation and administration of Microsoft operating systems, both server and desktop.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard network protocols and topologies.
  
• Experience with TCP/IP and Internet technologies a plus.
  

Required Certification, Licensure or Registration

• CNE or MCSE required.
• Will be required to occasionally move, unbox, re-box computer equipment and peripherals (10-50lbs) via the use of a two-wheeled cart or dolly.
• May occasionally be required to transport some equipment in your personal vehicle.
