GENERAL SUMMARY:

A Nurse Manager is a RN who has the responsibility and authority to assure the provision of effective, high quality patient care in the applicable departments. This position encompasses multiple responsibilities and is accountable for the overall preparation of the patient care units and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team toward delivery of effective, quality patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Progressive experience in clinical nursing and nursing management preferred.
• Demonstrates superior knowledge/expertise in area of specialization.
• Maintains good working relationships with other members of the medical and nursing staff.
• BSN strongly preferred with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Required Length and Type of Experience

• Minimum of three years experience in applicable area.

Required Licensure or Certification

•  Licensed and current registration as a professional nurse in the State of Ohio.
