JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Manager and Supervisors of Communication Services Telephone Operations performs the following: Operates telecommunications telephone console system and associated equipment. Processes medical emergency, crisis intervention, stat page, and disaster calls using prescribed protocols and procedures. Provides quality customer service to customers and CCF Staff at all times. Keeps personal workstation reference materials up to date and workstation area neat. Provides out-bound dialing support to CCHS customers as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to use telecommunications console equipment to process in and out-bound telephone traffic.
Knowledge of placing local, long distance and international calls and how to process in-house caller request for domestic and international directory assistance.
Ability to process medical emergency, crisis intervention, child abduction, disaster and other critical calls accurately and rapidly.
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum one year experience as a telephone operator in a health care facility or a telephone company using CENTREX or PBX communications consoles, or coordinating customer service activities in person or by telephone for the purpose of supplying products or services to buyers, sellers, or other business customers.
