Position Summary
The Health Information Services Technician participates as an integral member of the Health Information Services team by ensuring the quality maintenance of patient information/medical records, within all laws, rules and regulations of federal and state licensing agencies and The Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient care. The Health Information Technician oversees the daily department functions to provide timely, consistent processes.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from a medical records program or other related field preferred; high school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience: At least three (3) years experience in healthcare management/medical records or clerical field preferred.
Additional Requirements: Typing speed of at least 40 wpm preferred. Must be willing to work flexible hours.

Inpatient Services
Our child/adolescent mental health program provides care to children from three to eighteen years of age. Child/adolescent psychiatrists and nursing personnel specialize in treating children with some of the most challenging behavioral disorders. Adult behavioral health services provide treatment for individuals eighteen years and older suffering from all types of mental illnesses. A chemical dependency program provides detoxification services, clinically managed residential rehabilitation and residential programming for adults. In addition, psychiatric services are available to those patients who may have a dual diagnosis (suffering from psychiatric illness and addiction).
Outpatient Services
Windsor-Laurelwood provides a comprehensive range of mental health and addictive disease treatment options. In addition to the inpatient services listed above, Windsor- Laurelwood provides partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for mental health and chemical dependency.
Structured programs are designed to prevent a hospitalization or provide a less-restrictive setting for individuals who have been discharged from the hospital but still require a more intense level of care than traditional outpatient therapy. Windsor-Laurelwood Counseling Centers are staffed by highly credentialed clinicians, including: psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, counselors and chemical dependency treatment specialists.
