Position Summary
The Lead Generation Specialist is primarily responsible for prospecting, lead generation, follow-up, opportunity management, and conversion. The individual will work as part of an integrated sales team with specific goals and responsibilities. The Lead Generation Specialist must for be customer service oriented and must be able to work collaboratively with team members to advance sales and drive revenue growth. This position offers a base salary of $30,000 plus commission potential of $15,000 based on achievement of goals.
Essential Functions

Contact and acquire business leads for small businesses with the 1-99 employee size via telephone, email or personal contact for the Membership Account Executives.

Meet individual goals and objectives while contributing to group goals for membership sales as set by the Director of Membership Sales.

Manage lead, prospect, and member data with the specified information forms as required.

Schedule appointments in assigned territory or campaign for Membership Account Executives and update membership database and calendars appropriately.

Make follow-up calls as required to establish contact and engage in product offerings by developing solutions.

Research various publications for additional leads.

Assist Membership Sales Administrator as back-up for lead input, coordinating Membership Advantage folders, and other duties when necessary.

Maintain awareness of chamber activities and resources by maintaining strong relationships with other staff members (marketing, events, etc.) and participating in regular methods of communication within COSE.

Other job-related duties as assigned.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

High school degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in telemarketing, appointment setting, or sales in a goal oriented environment required.

Must be organized and detail oriented.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to correspond and communicate effectively with prospects and members regarding membership features and benefits.

Ability to work in a fast-paces environment.

Professional demeanor and outgoing personality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook.

Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
