Job Description

1. Clinical supervision of all outpatient counseling staff: performs up to 40% direct client service.

2. Responsible for coordination and delivery of outpatient therapy sessions, assuring that group programs take place as scheduled, assuring that outpatient counselors are in compliance with reporting requirements (e.g. direct client contact/productivity, etc.)

3. Assures that qualified counseling staff works consistently with each client to develop recovery through assessment of individual problem areas, treatment planning, case management & collateral contacts, and individual counseling.

4. Participates in all Management Team Meetings, Peer Review Committee, and In-Service trainings as scheduled. Conducts Utilization Review meetings and Outpatient Staff Meetings.

5. Thorough knowledge and implementation of office policies and procedu­res; insures client compliance with same, including billing.

6. Knowledge of standards set forth by ODADAS, ODMH and CARF, assuring that outpatient services and counseling staff are in compliance with standards.

7. Develops/maintains positive personal and agency relationship with referral sources and community resources.

8. Relates and works well with peers, subordinates, and other outpatient staff in professional/team approach.

9. Hires, supervises, evaluates, & disciplines subordinate staff (with approval of Chief Operating Officer and President & CEO).

10. Works with each client to develop their own recovery through assessment of individual problem areas, treatment planning, case manage­ment, and appropriate counseling sessions (individual, family, or group).

11. Completes client charting and other required documentation in a timely, professional, accurate and legible manner.

12. Maintains professional standards of ethics - thorough knowledge and implementation of client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures. Maintains certification status.

13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Benefits

1. Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, with concentration in CD treatment preferred.

2. LICDC; LPCC/LISW, or licensed psychologist.

3. Knowledgeable about the disease of chemical dependency, family illness model and treatment modalities; differential diagnosis helpful.

4. Experience with CD treatment; preferably including assessment, individual, family, marital and group counseling modalities.

5. Good written and verbal communication and supervisory skills.

6. Must work evenings/weekends and off site as scheduled.

7. Personal program of recovery preferred - minimum of 2 years of sobriety if CD.

8. Supervisory experience preferred.
