General Manager - Carbide Coating - Aerospace - Oilfield - HVOF

What you need for this position:

Be a highly credible, experienced executive with a track record in the early-stage development and market entry for an innovative industrial product line;
Deep knowledge of aerospace and/or oil field equipment industries;
Have a demonstrated background in successfully bringing a new product to market launch, ensuring market adoption and ultimately securing market leadership status;
Have a proven track record of working effectively with his/her colleagues and be a highly disciplined communicator with customers, the CEO, suppliers and employees;
Be an entrepreneur. An entrepreneurial attitude is essential. We seek a calculated risk-taker, a leader with courage, and an individual who is experienced at developing collaborative relationships;
Hold a bachelor degree (REQUIRED) in a technical field, preferably in engineering or materials science;
Be a strong manager able to make difficult decisions, but with a willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment to reach consensus,
Have significant experience managing change and creatively charting a successful product development and market entry plans.

What you'll be doing:

Assume full P&L responsibility for the business line and drive all measurable results on behalf of the company while reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Manage sales, engineering/product development and sourcing.
Continue to build capacity and sales.
Serve as primary liaison with suppliers to assure timely delivery, uniform high quality and establish an effective collaboration toward achieving sales goals.

Key Accomplishments Within first 12 months:

Assume P&L responsibility for the product line and establish performance metrics for direct reports and suppliers.
Achieve qualification with vendors toward realizing first-year minimum revenue of $300,000.
Support CEO in establishing strategic business relationships, adapting production processes to meet customer needs and developing a market entry strategy.
Successfully manage ongoing airframe chrome replacement qualification programs to obtain product certification
Compose and deploy an effective business development plan, optimizing manufacturing, product evolution, pricing, sales channel(s) and promotion.
