Job Description

This leadership role manages 5 Human Resource professionals and reports to the Vice-President of Talent Management.

 The Director of Human Resources will be responsible to:

  • Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures
  • Update and maintain employee handbook
  • Promote positive employee relations
  • Provide strategic support to the management team to develop and retain talent
  • Position and brand Edgepark as a premier employer
  • Coach and partner with management to proactively resolve employee issues with a positive result
  • Encourage a workplace environment consistent with the core values, mission and vision of the company
  • Effectively resolve problems consistent with standards, policies, procedures and government law and regulations
  • Identify and initiate best practices
  • Develop, coordinate and evaluate supervisory training programs
  • Track, manage and reduce turnover

Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Outgoing, energetic personality with strong relationship building and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • 5 years of previous Human Resource management experience
  • Experience in EEO compliance, reporting and affirmative action plan
  • Ability to measure and deliver results for budgeted headcount, turnover , performance management
  • Ability to manage and prioritize initiatives with a sense of urgency and decisiveness
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Employment Laws and standard Human Resources concepts and practices
  • Highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar area of study
  • Proven performance in succession planning and initiatives to retain talent
