Pilot Plant Operator

We are currently seeking a plant operator in our Research and Development Pilot Plant.
This position is responsible for the manufacture of batches of Solution Polymers and Water based Emulsions.
Responsibilities include performing required QC tests, weigh up of raw materials, testing batch after completion for viscosity, EEW, non volatiles plus other tests as needed.
Correctly operate reactors, pumps, auxiliary equipment, distillation columns, and filtration system.
Understand all aspects of written batch procedures. This includes understanding different raw materials, the timing of additions, the conditions in which raw materials need to be added, the sequence of adding raw materials, the temperature at which to add raw materials, and the batch method. Ensure a safe environment.
Skills and Experience:
High School diploma
2 – 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment making batches
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment
Energy and initiative
Self Starter
Organized
Good communication skills
