Director of Supply Chain

Edgepark Medical Supplies , a national distributor of medical supplies with 17 consecutive years of double-digit organic growth, is looking for a Director of Supply Chain. A respected industry leader with over $500 million in sales, 6 distribution centers nationwide and over 900 employees. Our success is driven by an energetic culture of passion, results and an unrelenting determination to win. Our dynamic environment offers employees unlimited opportunities to excel. This senior leadership role manages 4 Supply Chain professionals and reports to the Vice President of Vendor Relations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain purchasing and logistics best practices, including technology advances, policies and procedures
• Manage inventory levels, fill rates and obsolescence
• Develop purchasing strategies that will accomplish profit, service level and inventory turn goals
• Manage financial investment of 50,000+ SKU’s
• Support the operations and growth of the company by developing vendor accountability systems and contingency plans that ensure quality, capability and capacity
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve price, quality and delivery discrepancies
• Develop and execute an infrastructure to support long term grown of the company
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives which support Six Sigma and Lean
• Develop a team of highly trained supply chain professionals capable of achieving the strategic goals of the company
• Partner with key management in Sales and Customer Service to meet fluctuating demands of the customer

Ideal candidate qualifications:

• Strong analytical and leadership skills
• Ability to successfully communicate at all levels
• Consistent proven track record of achieving key performance indicators
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations or related field
• Experience in distribution management a plus
• 10 years experience in purchasing, cost control and inventory management
